It is celebration time again!
On the 29th June at 1:30 pm it is summer festival time. The learning partners of ISN will entertain our ISN parents with interesting plays, songs and musicals.
Every group from Kindergarten to the Middle School is taking part in the summer festival. After the entertainment parents, mentors and learning partners can relax enjoying a buffet.
Some lp’s from the MS1/2 group will open their Sweet and Sour Shop. You can buy fruit kebabs, fruit salad, fruit and cheese kebabs to mention a few. The profit from this event will be donated to a charity.

Parent's meeting - 12 May
by Sanjay
Many thanks indeed to our parents for your valued presence, comments and questions at Saturday’s meeting. The work that we have already started towards our International Baccalaureate (PYP) authorisation can only progress smoothly if certain specific school needs are met and IB standards achieved.
This week I will write a summary of all the changes that we have been presented with and how our school will benefit from them.
Special thanks to Dr. Seimetz for allowing us to use the conference room and to Ursula who did a wonderful translation job.
We need 2 additional members for our Parent-Teacher-Association; one each from PY1 (Early Years) and MS (Middle School). Please do let me know if you are interested so that we can have our first meeting before the end of this school year.
We would like to remind you that we will hold meetings with parents whose children will be moving classes in August 2007 so as to present you with the new programmes and to answer your queries. Please do not hesitate to contact me for an appointment should you need any information as to what will happen next year in terms of new classes, teachers etc…etc…

New Creative Arts Teacher
by Delia (MS 1)
Mrs. Doris Christophel-Georgens, is the new Music and Art teacher for MS 1 and 2. The learning partners already had lessons with her in the "World of Symbols" unit in 2006, where they had to make an object from clay that represented them.
Everybody thought that it was a lot of fun and wanted to do a similar lesson in the future. Their wish was granted, because from the 20 April 2007 Mrs. Doris Christophel-Georgens will teach one hour of Music and one hour of Art.
Mrs. Doris Christophel-Georgens has got a lot of experience and is also leading a choir in the retirement home close to school. She has done a lot of courses with kids and adults in art. We have ask students of the MS 1 and 2 what they think about their new teacher and everyone was very exited to have Mrs. Doris Christophel-Georgens as there new Art and Music teacher and have learned a lot of new skills

New unit introduced
by Philippo
Right after the spring break the new unit of inquiry „Forces” was introduced to the children of Ms1 and 2. And right at the beginning a planning meeting was held with parents and themselves of course. The new unit addresses everything about forces. The LP’s have already chosen a set of individual projects and group projects. There are suggestions that this unit will last until the end of this school year. There is a chance that the Unit will be included in the music lessons. We'll I hope all LP’s are going to enjoy this unit.
